I believe that owning real estate is a key part of the American Dream. As a 21-year-old in 1983, that belief motivated me to become a licensed real estate agent despite mortgage interest rates being above 13% while I was still renting.
It took several more years of hard work and saving, along with a decline in interest rates, for me to finally achieve that dream. To this day, I clearly remember the incredible feeling of becoming a homeowner for the first time.
The most rewarding part of my career as a real estate agent is helping others achieve their own goals through homeownership and experience that same sense of accomplishment.
